The Weather in the Cayman Islands
The Cayman Islands enjoy a tropical marine climate with warm rainy summers from May to October and cooler dry winters from November to April. During the rainy months afternoon showers may be short and heavy but they quickly pass.
The Cayman Islands lie within the northeast trade winds which give the islands a stable climate all year round. They occasionally bring winter storms which are known as "Nor'westers".
During the summer the days are warm and it can be humid. The cool breezes keep the nights comfortable.
Temperatures
Although it is warm all year round, temperatures peak in the Cayman Islands in July and August. Expect daytime highs to reach the low 90sF, cooling to the low 80s overnight. The higher humidity can make the temperatures feel even hotter. The best time to visit for this reason is from December through April.
